Hey Parkway family, my name is Elyse and for day 15 of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, we are going to be talking about and praying for our dwelling place. So this includes our physical homes. So the quality, the price, the availability. Praying over the people that build our homes, but also praying for things like community and gathering and hospitality.
And our home as a refuge. So something that my husband and I prayed for before we got married is that our home would have an open door and that we would be able to have that spirit of hospitality in our hearts. And that’s something that even in the short couple months that we’ve been married, that we’ve already seen come to fruition, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how God’s going to use that gift and grow that gift as we progress in our marriage.
So as I just open this up in prayer, I just want to pray that over you guys, that the spirit of hospitality and desire for community and gathering would grow. And also, just praying for the people who are supplying our homes and building our homes and, praying for the price in the housing market. So, dear Jesus, we just lift these things up to you.
God, I just pray that you would lay your hand over the housing market right now, that you would just begin to guide those prices and guide the workers who are building homes right now. Jesus, God, I pray for accessibility, for homes, for new families, and that everyone would have access to homes. I pray for, just ourselves personally.
God, that you would continue to grow that spirit of hospitality and that desire for community within us. Jesus, I pray that our homes would always be a place where we can find you and a place where when people walk into our doors that they can feel that there’s something different because you reside here. Jesus, God, I pray that, again, that our homes would be a refuge and a place to find you.
